Faun's slide from ~1092 to 900s?Just noticed Fauns score has dropped to 900 something, it was like 1092 the other day.
Typical delayed cleanup ripple.

How would it drop then?I guess what bdtex is saying is Faun and Lakhota have old posts that are generating tons of new reactions.![]()

You mentioned Forum Foundry, do you have any idea what a server upgrade would run and is it monthly or what?
I came here late 2014, did some digging and found the people who owned this site at the time owned a whole bunch of others and I mean a whole bunch. Somewhere down the road, they sold off some or most of the sites, not totally sure, but they must have been very successful. It ran pretty well back when I was donating.
However, I stopped donating when FF did nothing about coyote's rampant anti-Semitism. Members running around with nazi avatars, etc. Leftist mods banning members for the **** of it.
Duke knows all about that, yet nothing was done to fix it.
The server we are now on uses Shared Hosting and the costs for such sharing of a server at the base level? ~25-50$/month.
Shared hosting - Often too slow/unreliable for a busy forum. Costs: $3–$15/month, but not recommended. (Where we are...imho.)
VPS hosting is the sweet spot for this small forum, and it would not cost FF more than ~75 - 100$/month.
This shows what the FF think of this forum which is another reason why I refuse to donate anymore.
They don't want to sell it. Back when it was a going concern, there were many fights from insiders here trying to buy the forum so that they could control the narrative.I came here late 2014, did some digging and found the people who owned this site at the time owned a whole bunch of others and I mean a whole bunch. Somewhere down the road, they sold off some or most of the sites, not totally sure, but they must have been very successful.
Then you mentioned the FF thing and it dawned on me, I bet the same people who created all those sites also had their own server set up and it wouldn't surprise me if it's FF.
So I'll sell you a site with a server package.......I wouldn't be surprised at all.
Thanks for the info.
I frequent an air travel site, when you'd run down who owned the website, it was the same names as USMB.....and a bunch of other sites. They went through a bunch of different Admins or owners as we were told, on the air travel site, in fact some of the old admins names from there are the same still listed here. They went from vBulletin to Xenforo at the same time too.And they did take the time to clean up all that bullshit. They even sent a FF admin here to clean it up.
With all that gone now the place is dead.
It's a rolling average. Where it says "Monthly", it's not a calendar month. How would it drop then?
Does it only count reactions: "Like" "Funny" "Disagree" etc or does it count more than that? It's a rolling average. Where it says "Monthly", it's not a calendar month.
Yes, as far as I know.Does it only count reactions: "Like" "Funny" "Disagree" etc
