The "Top Monthly Reaction" scoreboard has been broken for months and should be taken down until fixed.

If USMB is going to present a "scoreboard", it should be accurate. If you don't personally care, that is your prerogative. USMB should care about accuracy.

All of the data is off. One of my reaction scores is off by 20,000, and it is anyone's guess about the "points."

The "leading scorer" is again member FAUN who was last seen posting just before the last Presidential election in November of 2024. That is impossible which calls into question the entire standing of the scoreboard. USMB staff should take down the scoreboard until it represents accurate reaction statistics.

Yep, you are right. It has been 15 months since Faun has posted squat to this board and yet she has triple the reaction score as I do. She must be fargin' supergirl.

You're tilting at windmills. Forget it. As long as we have a DOGE forum, the reactions leaderboard will stand, completely incorrect. Mods can't do that kind of stuff, only admins, which don't tend to hang around here much.

I've found a solid workaround for those annoying page-buffering slowdowns that freeze up the forum while surfing.

The trick:

Keep two tabs open in the same browser window:
  • Tab 1: The forum's front page.
  • Tab 2: The actual page/thread you're browsing and clicking links on.
When the current page starts hanging/buffering forever (no progress, just stalled), switch over to Tab 1 (the front page) and hit F5 to refresh it.

As soon as that refresh kicks in on the other tab, the stalled page in Tab 2 almost instantly unblocks & loads properly.

You can jump back and keep browsing without waiting. It seems like refreshing the background/home tab somehow jolts the browser's loading process or resource allocation, bypassing whatever's causing the freeze on the active tab. I believe this to be the page garbage function is stalled.

I'm using a variation of the Chrome Browser and this hack works consistently for me.

Please let me know if this hack works on other browsers.

Simply message admin.

The "Top Monthly Reaction" scoreboard is not broken. I am a Moderator in a non-political, history forum message board website that uses the exact same platform and all the bells and whistles as USMB and the "Most __________" categories. There's nothing to break. Member participation drives all of it.

Member Faun is currently THE top reaction getter and bailed when Trump won in 2024. Hasn't posted one time since Nov 6 2024. Nearly the same for member Lakhota. If it isn't broken how can this be?

Check your alerts. I only read/post in a handful of sub-forums. I can go back and read old threads. I do it quite often at the other history website I mentioned. That's just one example of reactions and scores. I'm telling y'all that there's nothing to break. All the "Most ______" category scores are driven by member(s) participation.

You have to break the record.
