Well. This is fundamentally true. You're speaking from the perspective of the doer. I think that laughing it off or crying it off in recognition is probably where things stand, collectively speaking, and likely the extent of any expectation.

I think the latter is the dominant objective. And, no, I don't disagree with you about the fundamental problem and platform being a product of the people. I do however believe that modern platforms are largely the playing field in the modern world, unfortunately, and many do seek them out for mere confirmation. I think that somewhere along the line, they do cross, compounding the matter, where the latter starts to drive the former just as much as the former is the source of the latter. Many really do just want to be led in what to do and what to think.
