This is not surprising. Trying to managing an economy is akin to trying to managing the climate. There are so many factors, and each factors influence is constantly dynamic.

It seems to be the nature of those prone to governance to believe they can control outcomes and results, but more often they are left scratching their collective head and quite often blaming others for the unintended consequences.

Some lessons are never learned.
