The Stock Market Was Overdue for a Correction

You seem to be in the know (financially).
Where would you put funds in the current environment?

I'd look to buy stocks, S&P, sometime next week. At worst, we should get a reflex rally.

I don't hate gold, I just don't see value at its current price (if you have some, hold it for now), and I would buy some silver, which is way undervalued historically compared to gold, but then it has been for some time now.

People who own stocks with nice price increases should look to options to protect those gains.

It's about damn time! Go Trump! Do DOGE!

Sure Pal.
You are a trump bootlicker.
And you's SO incredibly stupid, you are unaware of my 100's of anti-Trump posts.

The Cult is when others call you a "Cult" if your mind isn't inline with the hive, good, bad or ugly. No thinking required.

Way overdue, it was living off the sugar high of AI.....You had like six tech stocks propping up the whole thing.

That's why smart people's portfolio look a lot like their granddad's and they will weather the storm just fine.
Not just 7 stocks, but all the markets. From the DJIA to the Russell 2000 going into correction.

The Dow was at 44,025 on Trumps First Day.
The Dow currently sits at 38,314.
It may go lower or may bounce back on Monday.
But eventually, who knows how long of time, the DOW will rise and trump will .........

Take Credit for the Great Market Bounce back, and he will claim the low number (Currently 38,314, but could go lower) as his Starting point, when we ALL know the starting NUMBER was 44,025.

SO when the market once again, in the future, hits 45,000, trump will claim he LED the market to a 20% gain, when in REALITY it would be a 2% Gain.

Oh, with out a doubt.

The elephant in the room you cannot see is that the "pain" we're feeling now is mainly due to decades of allowing the USA to be used and financially abused. Especially during Democrat presidential terms. Obama and Biden both heavily facilitated foreign nations in exploiting the USA unfairly and funneling trillions offshore. (Maybe that's why the Obama's and Bidens are all filthy rich now, they certainly didn't work hard and earn much of anything.)

Getting that corrected now is not a minor task and will indeed cause pain. No Pain...No Gain.
Used and abused?! What in the world are you talking about. We are the worlds largest economy, We own the worlds reserve currency, we have a military superpower and have always been a leader of world alliances and supporters of freedom and democracy… that’s until now. Don’t know what the hell Trump is doing but the moves he is making looks a lot like he’d rather us be in the Russia/North Korea camp

I’ll enjoy watching you lie to yourself.

Nice try

But a correction occurs naturally through profit taking from past gains

This drop is because of intentional actions of the President
President’s policies influence market; including prices. There is no denying the immediate and short term impact of Trump’s tariff policies. I am going to judge this one year from now. I’m not going to pretend that I am not taking a hit right now but I am optimistic that the tariff policy will be good for US in the long term. If I am wrong, save this post and re-post it in April 2026.

So they use the excuse of tariffs to get 'er done.

The market has been mainly 7 stocks strong, and that is never a good thing. It was bad enough decades ago with 'the nifty fifty', now down to seven.

Gold, IMO, is overvalued as well.
This is your bullshit argument? Even Cruz thinks you are full if shit.
