We have all heard the song, The 12 Days of Christmas, but how many are aware that the 12 days START with Christmas and CULMINATE with the feast of the "Three Kings," on January 6th?

Indeed, for Christians, it makes a lot more sense to exchange gifts on the feast of the Magi than it does on Christmas itself. That's when the Christ Child received his first known gifts.

Just thought I'd mention it.

.

Yes.

I know people who do exchange their Christmas gifts on Feast of the Epiphany -- this year January 4, and in some countries, the 6th.

I know that. It is called Christmastide. We switch from Advent which runs from after Thanksgiving to Christmas, then Christmastide starts on Christmas Day and runs for 12 days. After that is Epiphanytide followed by Lent which ends in Easter.

My parents always left our tree up through January 6 because that was my birthday, the day of the Epiphany, Three King's Day, the manifestation of the Gentiles, the Theophany or Vision of God.

Some people put a tree up after Turkey Day and tear it down right after Christmas Day, we always put it up the week of Christmas, then it stayed up through all 12 days.

A few times, we had our cat climb up in the tree and end up looking out at us through the tinsel and lights near the top wondering where the birds were.

We also had a cat that liked looking out through the branches and shiny things.

All cats appear to have some sort of brain damage. Must be something they put in the catnip.

the magi were sent by the heavens to protect mary from the stone throwing jews ... neither she nor joseph feared the liar moses their false commandments - is the reason for their reward from the heavens.

But it sucks. I've experienced this in Spain. The kids spend two weeks off school, get their presents and have to go back to school the day after.

Haven't you repeatedly said that no one was ever sent from the heavens - especially "to help" anyone?

travelers passing by at the time ....

they happened too not being afraid of judaism, moses no different than mary and were happy to be led to her by the heavens - the stone throwers had better things to do when they arrived.

How do you mean Moses no different than Mary?

My Theology Professor near death experiencer Kevin Zadai did cover this topic in a manner that I believe was "wiser" than the way that Pastor General Herbert W. Armstrong covered the topic of Christmas.
