It seems that capitalism-consciousness creates a very unique perspective on heaven and hell.

Why do we Americans celebrate outrageous films like Brewster's Millions, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Bloody Mama?

Is there something 'prescriptive' about Carnage (and why is there a Dante's Inferno adapted video-game)?

7 Pillars of Hell (Behavior)

1. stalker sticks machete in vagina --- Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th)
2. hammering of the fingertips --- Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre)
3. skinning face and pouring salt --- Freddy (Nightmare on Elm Street)
4. breaking bones of birds' feet --- Michael Myers (Halloween)
5. raping babies to death --- Chucky (Child's Play)
6. night-stick in anus till death --- Candyman (Candyman)
7. torturing dowry-bride till death --- Carrie (Carrie)

Observing these grotesque limits in hell and torture/pain helps us evaluate why/how capitalism, despite its espousing of endless greed, can be a signpost for ethics rather than a philosophical invitation to piracy. We think of the ugliness of hell and mayhem to meditate on the value of life and ethics. As someone once said, "Sometimes, the best view of heaven is from hell." Think on this as you celebrate images/stories about the 'bravado' and 'adventure' of capitalism why the wolves and sharks of Wall Street should not become...beasts or creatures(!).

Are you a fan of films like Casino, Celebrity, and Collateral? Do stories about fame, fortune, and fortitude strike your fancy about the American Dream? The 7 Pillars of Hell shield us from the extremities of bizarre daydreams regarding what we're 'willing' to do to achieve great ends or accomplish seemingly impossible goals such as becoming billionaires. The reason Americans find very strange horror films such as Children of the Corn so 'intriguing' is because capitalism-culture creates all kinds of 'fantastic hallucinations' about the general contours of rebelliousness. It's all about...The Agony and the Ecstasy.
