I have grandparents who are still alive. They are old, and their mental faculties are failing. It will happen to us all. My grandparents are living their final days in bitter fear of a war that has taken over their country. They are scared to ask for help, because that is how the boogieman is going to get you into his death panels, and you will be killed and all your money will go to socialism. They are fucking terrified of it. Blacks and hispanics are lurking outside waiting for the moment and stealing from them. We can't convince them otherwise. They have the money to retire comfortably, and a family that would take care of them because we do take care of our family as best we can.

I would love to see my grandfather pissing away good money trying to play golf like he enjoys. My grandmother could go shopping with us or see the great grandchildren. But no, there are minorities everywhere trying to kill them. The president is trying to kill them. He has declared war on them, and they are old enough to remember real fucking war in europe. We did not put these ideas in their heads. Nope, that was fox news and the party that is fighting for them. They are fighting the war against the liberal evildoers who want to murder them in their sleep and take their money.

I would like to say this is a fucking joke. I would love it if this was an absurd parody of what is happening. No, this is the sendoff the republicans and fox are giving my grandparents, and if we try to turn the TV off we are the enemy trying to take over their minds.

this is what happens when dementia combines with lies and propaganda. Fox news has every right in the universe to publish the irresponsible lies and bullshit they do. I agree with that right of theirs. I will not tarnish that right because they take advantage of weaker people. However they should really stop hammering the war drums because if war actually ever happens there are people out there who are super pissed at their rhetoric and lies and how they have thuroughly wrecked the happiness of the good people thy claim to be fighting for.

My Grandmother had dementia and thought that her own daughter was some stranger in her home that was out to take over her money and kill her.
Never mind that it was always my Mother's home.
My Grandmother never even had access to Fox news or c span.

How come FOX has way more social responsibility than any other news media outlet? I'm just saying. There has to be a Shocking Expose every time FOX calls the Affordable Care Act "Obamacare", but MSNBC, CNN, et al can fearmonger, distort, and doctor audio/video to make their point and none of you overly pious lefties barely raise an eyebrow. Alan Grayson can stand up on the floor of the House and say "REPUBLICANS WANT YOU TO DIE QUICKLY" and he's a "liberal firebrand". But Palin needs to answer for apparently sending homocidal messages via political crosshairs to Jared Loughner and Obama calls for New Tone.

You can tell FOX isn't actually as bad as they're made out to be. If I were Roger Ailes, FOX would be 50% more offensive and partisan. Might as well give you guys what you want, since you're going to accuse them of being so anyway.
