The problem with that Rocco is that this is not just 'a war' it is a series of them. Which Israel started.

It started by invading from Europe, and attacking British forces and Palestinians.
It continued by killing and policing with brutality in occupied territory.
It continued by refusing to make a just peace, which would have entailed a minimum of it pulling back to 1948 lines.
It continued by using its influence to corrupt and emasculate Arab states with the US and UK in lock step.
It continued by obfuscating all peace talks, offering only unacceptable packages, then lying about them.
It continued with brutal policing, annexation through settlements.
Then it caused a war through provocation, and calls itself the victim.

Israel started the war. It just is incapable or unwilling to end it.

The Palestinians are its victims. Hamas are its victims. Though Hamas are brutal and ruthless, that is what Israel has made of them.

There is no excuse for this. None whatsoever.

3) they have constantly offered a just MUTUAL peace and have a proven track record of agreeing peace.

How do you mean? The IDF takes out military sites, if these sites are built in civilian areas which causes civilian deaths, it is to blame on Hamas and not Israel. Hamas is responsible for the people in Gaza, not the IDF. The IDF mission is to protect Israeli citizens and they are definitely doing a great job in protecting Israeli citizens from Hamas.
