The Democrats didn't provide the e-mail for Trump Jr who enthusiastically accepted the offer. He wrote it himself.

Obama wanted better relations with Russia. However he also slapped sanctions on Russia as well. Putin has been working hard to get those sanctions reversed as weak as they were. The Russian interference in our elections was the result. Also interference in elections in the Netherlands and France. The French elections have the same M.O. as that of the US interference.
