The RNC is being quite open about its rationale for voter suppression.......this time.

Senators Want Answers on Use of DHS Database to Purge Voters

If Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials can brief an election-denier group on how states are now using its databases to verify voters’ citizenship, then they can brief Congress, a trio of Democratic senators wrote to DHS Sec. Kristi Noem Tuesday.

Under President Donald Trump, DHS upgraded its Systemic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) system, integrating data from the Social Security Administration and making the database available to state officials to confirm voter registrants’ citizenship for free.

The rapid expansion of a system previously used by federal agencies to confirm eligibility for social safety net benefits into a widely-accessible, centralized database of U.S. citizens creates considerable risks, Sens. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.), Gary Peters (D-Mich.), and Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) said in a letter.

“Data quality issues may cause state and local officials who rely on the program to receive false positives or incomplete results,” they wrote. “Public transparency and assurances that the Department is appropriately protecting citizens’ rights, including privacy, is extremely important.”

For Repubs voter suppression is a relentless pursuit.

RNC Sues Arizona To Block Voting Access for Overseas U.S. Citizens

Republicans filed a lawsuit Monday seeking to block a state law that allows certain U.S. citizens living abroad to vote in Arizona elections.

The Arizona law at issue permits overseas U.S. citizens to register to vote in Arizona if one of their parents is a registered Arizona voter. The Republican National Committee (RNC) and the state GOP argue that the statute violates the Arizona Constitution’s residency requirement for voting.

The plaintiffs also argue that voters allowed under the challenged law are “disproportionately non-Republican,” citing internal data showing that only 18.2% of overseas voters in Maricopa County are registered Republicans, compared to 51.3% who are registered Democrats.

“Democrats want to cheat in our elections by allowing votes from people who have never established legal residency,” RNC Chair Michael Whatley said in a press release.

This new challenge fits into a broader Republican legal strategy to undermine overseas voting access. In North Carolina, Republican Supreme Court candidate Jefferson Griffin tried to have overseas voters disenfranchised as part of his failed effort earlier this year to overturn the results of the election.

Voter suppression efforts by the RNC and state Repub parties have always been about preventing people from voting if they aren't Repubs. The difference being this time around they said the quiet part out loud.
How is this voter suppression? The US Citizen lives overseas; not in Arizona. If they want to vote in Arizona, move back to Arizona, pay taxes in Arizona.

Democrats suppressed the vote of overseas Armed Forces members during the 2000 Election. Specifically, Democrats targeted Armed Forces members registered in Florida to suppress their vote because Florida was the deciding state in the Election.

Armed Forces members in the 2000 Election had to be overseas away from their home state of Florida and Democrats suppressed their vote. In the Arizona case, people are choosing to be overseas yet feel entitled to vote in Arizona because a parent lives there.

The right’s war on democracy continues, as does the tyranny of Republican minority rule.

The war on Democracy continues, and they are getting more brazen.

They are much less careful about letting the "quiet part" out these days, and that is worrying.
A war on democracy would include the recruitment of tens of millions of desperate third-worlders to manipulate congressional apportionment…THEN, in the long-term, we could count on said third-worlders laying litters of filth that we know would vote solely on free shit.
Just think, a war of this type would deliver Mexifornia on a silver platter…that would keep a party relevant when it shouldn’t be huh?

US citizens have the right to vote by absentee ballot. What's wrong with you?

Are they citizens of Arizona?
Why does that make a difference?

“Democrats want to cheat in our elections by allowing votes from people who have never established legal residency,” RNC Chair Michael Whatley said in a press release.

Dem's and Repub's can avail themselves of the law as it is currently written.

I am a citizen of Maryland. If I move overseas or work takes me overseas and I establish Maryland has my permanent residency, then I fully expect my absentee rights to be honored. Is that the exact case here?

You have to be a citizen of a state to vote in that state you silly ****.

Why don’t democrats just try to win elections on their ideas instead of finding new ways to cheat every time?

Trump Admin Defying Court By Stonewalling on Anti-Voting Order, Plaintiffs Say

The Trump administration is defying a court order by refusing to say how federal agencies may be implementing President Donald Trump’s sweeping anti-voting executive order, pro-voting groups and Democrats alleged in a filing Friday.

Among the order’s directives that lawyers for the administration have failed to provide answers about: How is the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) allowing its databases to be used to purge voters? How will the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) punish states for continuing to offer a grace period for mail ballots that arrive after Election Day? And how will the U.S. Election Assistance Commission — an independent agency — withhold funds from states that don’t comply with aspects of the order?

There’s not one leftist kook site you haven’t found.

Criminal prosecutors in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) recently sent an email to Wisconsin Secretary of State Sarah Godlewski (D) requesting sensitive election data to help implement President Donald Trump’s sweeping anti-voting executive order and hunt for voter fraud.

Just one problem: The email went to the wrong state official. Unlike most secretaries of state, Godlewski does not oversee Wisconsin’s elections, which are run by the state’s elections commission.

Still, her office slammed the email as part of “a coordinated and cynical witch hunt about the 2020 election.”

It’s not the first time the DOJ has sought sensitive voter data from Wisconsin. The department also previously threatened to withhold funding to the state for allegedly violating federal voter laws concerning a complaints process.

The farcical error is one of numerous recent examples of sloppiness by the department in recent months, as it has launched a sweeping effort to pressure states to hand over voter data that might show evidence of illegal voting.

Dotard is never going to give up trying to vindicate his false accusations about the 2020 election. It's all about saving face.
