Kevin McCarthy Set to Be Blocked by GOP Holdouts in Second Round of Voting for Speaker
GOP leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy was set to fall short of a majority in the second round of voting to be speaker, after five Republican candidates at the start of the alphabet voted against him, deflating any hopes of a quick resolution to the standoff. Exactly. While so called conservatives whine about the working poor getting so called free benefits they pay for, no one wants something for nothing more then they do. You figure tax in EVERYTHING you purchase, simple because everything you buy is regulated by Fed, state and local govt. You didn’t pay 50%. What’s the point in posting lies? If you’re not paying around 22/23% for federal you’re doing it wrong.
22% Federal
5% state
2% SS
1.5% Medicare
30.5% total
Sales tax might get you another 2-3%. Property tax maybe 2-3%.
Regardless a nice country cost money. Pay it and shut up or move to a not nice country.
According to Marx, communism is the ultimate form of socialism.....called utopian socialism.....so yeah I am right. That’s socialism. You’re confused……again.
If you don’t believe me then quit responding. That’s why there’s no point in bringing it up.
No one believes you. You won’t prove anything.
Just don’t try.
Nothing you liars say is worth a real response from me. The whole lot of you should be air dropped in the southern ocean.Ha ha….
Its and understatement.
And, if what conservatives post here is any indication of what the gop in general is like, it’s a fking clown show.
I’m sure you’d like that, big shooter. If you don’t believe me then quit responding.
I pay 50% of my income in total taxes. I stand by my statement.I’m sure you’d like that, big shooter.
Just admit you cited your marginal rate, not effective rate.
People love to do that when they want to pretend their tax burden is higher than it is, but no one who makes that much actually confuses these two rates. That means you’re a liar in one or two ways. You purposefully misrepresented your tax burden or you don’t actually make that much money.
You must really be pissed at the Trump tax cuts which did not allow you to deduct all of a portion of your property taxes from your federal income come tax. Nor do you live in a state that allows tax deductions for property taxes. You may live in the “high rent” district where property taxes are are quite high too. That’s about the only way you can pay as much as 50% of your income for taxes. You must be getting fked by republicans and / or the guy who does your taxes otherwise.I pay 50% of my income in total taxes. I stand by my statement.
Yep. I paid more because of DJT. But don’t you want the wealthy to pay more? You must really be pissed at the Trump tax cuts which did not allow you to deduct all of a portion of your property taxes from your federal income come tax.
