I've been saying since the verdict, that leaders are being very irresponsible by publicly slamming the decision by the jury. This does NOTHING but polarizing the population even further.
The decision was made by a jury of the defendants peers. Leaders need to respect that and act accordingly.

For the past few years we've heard a lot of accusations coming from Democrats about "threats to democracy." Of course, Donald Trump tops the list of their villains, but he's hardly alone. As far as his critics are concerned, Republicans in general are a threat to democracy.
