The Real Reason for Higher Gas Prices

Except of course all the wages for the workers involved at the refineries. Then there is that tax money. And some does end up in our cars.
The refineries run every day with the same employees, with or without tar sand. Only if our cars are in other countries, they might use some of that fuel.

All the refineries in the Pt Arthur area converted to mostly heavy crude production several years ago in preperation for Canadian tar sands.
California has refined tar sands for years. Does some of that make it into California gas tanks. Yes. Does the asphalt get used by California, a big yes to that.

Again, admitting, we are energy independent.

Yep, tar sands via the Keystone pipeline
The xl is an export pipe line to avoid paying taxes to the US. Refined specialty products are sold overseas to make a profit for the Chinese.

Valero has refined tar sands for years, and they are taxed. Those same refineries would of processed more oil from Canada, and most likely will. Democrats just hold out for pay offs before they approve.

OPEC has said no to Joe twice to replace our production with theirs...why would we want them to produce more than us?...we do it cleaner and better...and the natural gas we were sending to the world was paying for it....if Joe wanted to destroy America please tell me how his actions would be different than they are?....
it costs twice as much to produce a barrel of oil in the US. Further, Valero wants all their refineries to be designated as tax free zones.

Wants? Sorry, I am speaking of what is actually happening.

Tar sands have been refined in the USA for years
Yes they are.. and keystone xl would cause our refineries in the Midwest that refine tarsands to close. By passing them to go to tax free zones earns more profit for the Chinese.

You said tar sands were for export only and now you admit that the USA profits from tar sands, thank you for agreeing

Nope. We're talking about keystone xl not tarsands. Canada gives that sludge away at 29 dollars a barrel. Pipeline it to a tax free zone in Texas increases their profit at the expense of the US taxpayers. You are so stupid you are arguing for the Chinese.

I said we are already profiting from tar sands. You agreed we are processing tar sands. That has nothing to do with keystone.

There are no tax free zones in texas

I am not the one deflecting the thread..

Once again taxes in Saudi is cheaper
Most US wells produce less than 50 bpd and we have no economies of scale. They also don't pump crude. So until you learn something about the oil business, you probably should hush. It has nothing to do with taxes.

You were the one talking wages, quit deflecting
