We read of Jesus having a healing touch and angels spreading the faith through the magic of touch.
We watch modern American TV films/programs such as Touched by an Angel.
We feel entertained by the fantastic performances of gloved stage magicians performing incredible acts of objects levitating or disappearing or changing simply by touch.
Touch is important to human beings. Tactile information is processed by the brain and helps humans organize perceptions and ideas about labor and geometry.
The more 'hands-on' our spiritual and cultural education 'feels,' the closer we may feel to discovery.
So where did all this controversy about unwanted 'deux ex machina' originate?
