In my foray here in USMB, I have engaged in tens of thousands of political debates with numerous posters, past and current. I started debating politics on a local newspaper forum here in my hometown in 2011. I ran into a woman who taught me that asking questions is an effective debate tool and a formidable weapon in debates. She taught me how to do research, to cite facts in rebuttal, argumentative fallacies -- the works. I was a right-wing extremist in my 20s, and what she taught me helped bring me out of it. It took me a long time to get where I am now.

But the power of simply asking a question cannot be denied. It is how you glean information, how you force others to come to terms with a set reality, to expose the truth, or to solve a problem. I encourage you, the forum membership, to ask questions. The power of a question is unparalleled. There are no stupid questions, no silly questions, or bad questions. The worst question is the one left unasked.

Remember, ask questions. Defy ignorance. Set the darkness alight with a simple question.

Charlie Kirk asked questions. It's all about the Liberal mindset, tbh.
That involves asking questions. You ask questions, get info, then decide what you do. :dunno:
In b4 this doesn't go very far, but I think it's pretty nice.
Modern day college graduates, some of them, have not had a Liberal Education.
That means they got cheated, btw. :eek2yum:

In an honest exchange you're absolutely right, a question can initiate dialogue. But it can also reveal concerns, or provide bait.

Have you ever encountered anyone who has stated "If you've got nothing to hide, then what are you worried about"?

let me ask you a question then----------------Was Biden's open border a good thing for America? Should Biden be deemed culpable for all the mayhem (murder, rape and child trafficking), his invaders have caused?

But, avoid answering a question with a question.
Answer the question, then ask a question.
You have a point. But you can answer a question with a question. IE, the question is the answer.

I can only recall seeing one video clip of Kirk before his death. In it, he and Vivek Ramaswamy were bullying young female college students in these so-called "debates". Their behavior didn't sit well with me therefore when I heard additional things about Kirk thereafter, it wasn't difficult for me to believe them because of what I had observed of him with my own eyes.

Stop lying about Charlie Kirk.

I have seen a myriad of video clips of him but nothing like that.

Where is the clip?

Prove me wrong is not a question.

But, avoid answering a question with a question.
Answer the question, then ask a question.
I don't completely disagree.

However, answering a question with a question is sometimes a smart efficient way to make a point or defend a position.
