We gave the GOP eight years to show that their economic and political policies were what the country needed. The results were a dismal failure and the GOP paid the price

If you want to believe "They were not conservative enough"...go ahead try to sell America on "we plan to do worse to you next time"

I tend to side with liberals on this issue as far as truth goes and true conservatives as far as my $ goes.
Instead of focusing on solving the budget, Bush passes the largest social program in 70 years in the Gramps Dope plan.
All the while going to war in the wrong country and claiming that banning Dick Cheney's daughter from getting married is a priority issue answering to Rush Limbaugh.

There is no myth. Look at how the Democrats ran. They were all for fiscal responsibility, ending earmarks and so on. Go read Nancy Pelosi's speeches from this period. It's all there.
Dems got elected basically because they parroted the GOP's talking points. They were succesful because the GOP had started acting like Democrats.
Now we'll see what happens in Nov since people have realized that a leopard cannot change his spots and a Democrat cannot vote for fiscal restraint.
