The problem is we need immigrants.

Not because people are "moving to red states". Sure they are, after they retire, but those people aren't that productive.

The problem is, if you take out immigrants, our demographics would be shrinking and aging. We won't have enough young people to support the old people.

Um, if they have no skills, why are so many businesses keen to hire them? (Just talking about construction and farm labor, where you really can't get Americans to take those jobs.)

The produce more economic activity than they cost.
