I've seen this in several places today. You never see soldiers in a parade purposely marching out of step.

I was in the Navy for 23 years. The last time I marched in formation was in college ROTC, about 42 years ago. I bet 99.99% of those soldiers last time was in boot camp. The best ones were the Old Guard because they march 25/7/365 as my son did on the US Army Drill Team. The bands seem to do well enough.

Most of them were riding in Abrams tanks, Bradley IFVs, and Strykers.
