You should read Gar AlperovitzThe Atomic Bomb and the End of World War II | National Security Archive
To mark the 75th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945, the National Security Archive is updating and reposting one of its most popular e-books of the past 25 years.nsarchive.gwu.edu
Try reading REAL history for a change.
HAHAHAHAI did not ask you, grapehead.
It was more than enough after the second bombThree days s not much proof
a second bomb is the proof, and no processing time necessary...how long do you think it would have taken to process the terms?Dropping a bomb and then offering terms would be proof
One day given the right termsIt was more than enough after the second bomb
a second bomb is the proof, and no processing time necessary...how long do you think it would have taken to process the terms?
No one should ever read Gar Alperovitz. You should read Gar Alperovitz
We had no intention of ever letting Japan end the war in a draw without surrendering (like the Korean War later ended). One day given the right terms
Oh look another empty claim without evidenceNo one should ever read Gar Alperovitz.
He is known to misquote people and make it sound like they said the opposite of what they really said.
We had no intention of ever letting Japan end the war in a draw without surrendering (like the Korean War later ended).
Only an ignoramus would think there’s nothing wrong with mass murdering defenseless women and children. Are you a Nazi or a Commie? That is incorrect. Mr. Truman never did anything wrong.
That would be murder. Murder is wrong.
No they weren't. The Nazis committed real crimes.
Worst than whiffs. He chose mass murder of defenseless women and children to impress Uncle Joe. Only a warmongering fool would think he did the right thing. He was kept out of the loop for most of the war. He finally gets up to the plate and he whiffs it
Before the Soviets went to war against him, Hirohito was plotting to get the Soviets to assist him in ending the war in a draw without surrendering (like the Korean War later ended).Terms of surrender einstein
Exactly. We could have just waited for the Soviets to enter the war and it's overBefore the Soviets went to war against him, Hirohito was plotting to get the Soviets to assist him in ending the war in a draw without surrendering (like the Korean War later ended).
It was only after the Soviet war declaration ended the possibility of their helping him to do this that Hirohito shifted gears and contemplated surrender.
Hindsight is always easy.Exactly. We could have just waited for the Soviets to enter the war and it's over
No bombs needed
I agree completely
Only an ignoramus would think there’s nothing wrong with mass murdering defenseless women and children. Are you a Nazi or a Commie?
Don't be silly. Wartime strikes against military targets are not murder.Worst than whiffs. He chose mass murder of defenseless women and children
No. The reason why we bomb countries that we are at war with is to try to make them surrender.to impress Uncle Joe.
There is nothing foolish about warmongering.Only a warmongering fool would think he did the right thing.
Cuba has nothing to do with this.Hindsight is always easy.
But what happens when we get to the Cuban Missile Crisis without the example of Hiroshima to restrain the US and USSR from nuclear war?
This is probably evidence to you.Oh look another empty claim without evidence
Terms of surrender einstein
This is probably evidence to you.
All wrong. Killing defenseless civilians is ALWAYS a war crime except in the minds of duped Americans, who excuse their government of heinous acts but would never excuse any other nation’s government.Don't be silly. Wartime strikes against military targets are not murder.
For an example of mass murder, look to the peacetime attack against Pearl Harbor.
No. The reason why we bomb countries that we are at war with is to try to make them surrender.
There is nothing foolish about warmongering.
War is how we protect ourselves from the bad guys.
Well then every participant in WW2 was guilty. All wrong. Killing defenseless civilians is ALWAYS a war crime except in the minds of duped Americans, who excuse their government of heinous acts but would never excuse any other nation’s government.
I disagree with him that targeting areas that could contain civilians is wrong in war.Well then every participant in WW2 was guilty.
The Japanese did some of the most heinous warcrimes. Meanwhile Hirohito cowardly tried to claim he had little power and walked. All wrong. Killing defenseless civilians is ALWAYS a war crime except in the minds of duped Americans, who excuse their government of heinous acts but would never excuse any other nation’s government.
Not wrong.All wrong.
Military targets are hardly defenseless civilians.Killing defenseless civilians is ALWAYS a war crime except in the minds of duped Americans, who excuse their government of heinous acts but would never excuse any other nation’s government.
