Nine Republicans in the House of Representatives have voted against a bill that aims to facilitate the purchase of baby formula for those on low-income federal support programs.

The Access to Baby Formula Act, also known as H.R. 7791, would allow low-income women to buy more baby formula through the federal Women, Infant and Children (WIC) program. It received a 414-9 bipartisan support in a House vote on Wednesday amid the formula shortage crisis in the country.

The nine lawmakers who voted about the bill were all Republicans. They are: Reps. Andy Biggs (Arizona), Lauren Boebert (Colorado), Matt Gaetz (Florida), Louie Gohmert (Texas), Paul Gosar (Arizona), Marjorie Taylor Greene (Georgia), Clay Higgins (Louisiana), Thomas Massie (Kentucky) and Chip Roy (Texas).

The nine House Republicans who voted against formula for lower-income babies are also supporters of the coup to overturn the 2020 election and have been supportive of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Republicans claim that Trumpism is freedom, but it is actually an ideology that justifies starving babies. MAGA supports baby-killing through starvation, which is no different from Stalinist Russia or Mao’s China.

Oh, nevermind I see. Joe Biden is incompetent, thus we are voting against getting formula to families:

"It will allow WIC to utilize a far greater portion of the baby formula market, crowding out many hard-working American families," Gaetz tweeted.

"All considered, government-empowered swings to markets typically create more problems than they solve. Instead of creating new emergency authorities for the Incompetent Biden Regime, we should source more product for all American families and solve the problem."

We need to get democrats out of power. That will end the shortages

Republicans are trying to murder babies. WOW!

I totally believe OP…Republicans are intentionally making baby food scarce because they hate babies.

Sounds like they're objecting to the solution, not arguing no solution should be sought. And here I thought they were trying to starve children.

The bill passed, what's your beef?

Is everyone supposed to genuflect to Brandon or be condemned?

Generally speaking, if everyone in a political party is going to bitch about no baby formula, then everyone in a political party should vote for a bill to provide said baby formula that they are bitching about.

Bitching about something, then not voting to fix it, shows uselessness more than anything else.

If that's what you really got out of this, you should stay inside.

.01% of baby formula goes to babies detained at border detention centers....yet you folks are scapegoating these babies as the cause of the formula shortage??

So are you proposing these babies not be fed?? How pro-life of you...

There was a time not long ago when conservatives were angry that too many "AMERICAN" babies were getting formula and wanted to cut the program that fed those babies....

As you usual, Republicans remain full of shit...

If that's what you really got out of this, you should stay inside.
So are you upset that Congress took action to address the formula shortage??

Do you think babies of illegals getting formula (which accounts for less than 1%) is why there is a formula shortage??

If Biden announced he was no longer feeding those babies, would that make you creamy?? Or would you pull a 180 and whine about Biden doing what you wanted him to do??

I will allow the person to whom I was responding to ask what he/she/it wants to ask. In the meantime, here's the operative quote, so do with it what you will:

"Republicans claim that Trumpism is freedom, but it is actually an ideology that justifies starving babies. MAGA supports baby-killing through starvation, which is no different from Stalinist Russia or Mao’s China."

Less baby formula available to working, middle class parents is a necessary component of planned starvation.
When Republicans voted to cut WIC funding that would have resulted in less "working and middle class" babies getting formula....were you against that?

Or is that different because it didn't give you a chance to demonize babies in cages??

On the bright side tho....cutting WIC is something Conservatives like to do because they think it hurts those "other people babies" more than "real American babies" -- so the sentiment remains the same...Conservatives don't really give a fuck about babies when they are born...as their policies have consistently showed....
