Closing the southern border is a conservative move, and one, I approve of. That is why I bitched publicly about Biden's open invitation, and lack of planning, facilities and manpower to even attempt to control or evaluate those that came during his tenure. Though, on the flip side, relating to MAGA approved Trump policy, doing away with birthright citizenship by executive order, (not change to Constitution or even congressional lawmaker involvement), I thoroughly disagree and know, there is nothing conservative about doing away with parts of the Constitution by simply executive action. There is nothing conservative about arresting the occasional American Citizen and holding for weeks, in their zeal to get the migrant deportation numbers, at least of to the Obama years. There is nothing fiscally conservative about the Trump Butt Ugly Budget bill. There is nothing conservative about putting Marines on the streets to help with law enforcement domestically. What MAGA supports and Trump is doing, is simply not conservative in the 200 year plus history of our country, and in support of our Constitution. Obviously, if a citizen does not support the Constitution of the United States, they are no conservative, simply an "ends justifies the mean" populist.

The Big Butt Ugly Bill was only minorly about the border, but mostly about increasing debt limit to allow vast Trump Republican directed deficit spending. I truly do not know whether to point you to a economic course or a 6th grade math course. Of course, neither are important to a non-conservative, committed MAGA supporter, and of course, there is no such thing as a conservative MAGA supporter.

it was for making the 2017 tax cuts permanent. Conservative. That was the ask, again, doing nothing made it worse and we'd all be out of pocket sore.
