The infiltration of immigrants is on such a rapid pace, both illegal and legal immigrants, that America is also rapidly changing her identity. It's way different now. Back in those days everyone worked towards progress, industrialization, common goals, advancing society, and worked for the common good of all. You can't compare apples and oranges.

If Italians didn't cling to the old country why did they bring the Mafia then? Why do they continue to speak Italian in some settings and why did they bring us yummy Italian food instead of taking to steak and potatoes, bacon and eggs.

What's the solution then? It's one thing to complain. It's another thing to offer ideas.

Today's GOP is only good at complaining about things.

Very stale argument. Yes, imported labor contributes, but only because they're cheap labor. Yes, unskilled immigrants find work because they're cheap labor. Yes, businesses break the law by hiring them.

You're forgetting about skilled immigrants in science and technology.

The question is how do you stop companies from seeking cheap labor? The way things are you clamp down on them hiring illegals, they'll outsource.

How do we create good paying jobs for our growing population here? Perhaps it's better to look for unicorns. Cheap labor may be the future of this country and there may be no stopping it.

If you want to blame,somebody blame the fat cats who seek cheap labor, not the millions of people desperate for the slightest wage.
