What's the response to be? I read the Guardian hating on a passed evangelical fad (purity culture) and a few people who have been irritated by it in their lives. Hard NOT to whatabout that when we have entire nations where women can't even show their faces, literally, and will be stoned to death if they have premarital sex.

The “Purity cult” is on the right track. I know most in our culture can’t imagine waiting until marriage. I didn’t either. However, I can now see the social benefit to having one partner you are truly invested it. Commitment, responsibility, family and society. And that exclusive intimacy is a part of your commitment to each other.

By comparison, the left promotes not committing to a serious relationship, divorce, multiple partners, degeneracy & abortion. Everything revolves around you and your shallow needs. It’s a world where many of the most marginalized people on the planet are murdered before ever having a name.
