The Need To Ban Contraception To Increase The Domestic Supply Of Infants

1. The GOP Leadership of Idaho have to be out of their flipping mind if they believe banning any form of birth control is acceptable and that includes abortion and morning after pill.

Limiting abortions of when it can be done is one thing but complete ban and banning the morning after pill in my opinion is wrong and like another poster wrote they ( the consumer ) will get the pill from somewhere else!

2. The People of the State of Idaho must make a choice and the women of that State must make a choice and if they accept this archaic lifestyle then that is their fault and nothing I say or write will change their mind…

But if losing some rights to contraception will stop kids from being turned into trans by gay CRT teachers, it will all be worth it........

That is the political calculus of most Republican women voters...they may do some performative outrage for social appearances -- but will pull that lever for the republican regardless...even if that Republican is taking away rights from them specifically...as long as she thinks others will get it worse, she will vote for him...

The fact is we have more than enough babies being born. Idaho should be pushing contraception alot harder.

Then she is ignorant as can be in my personal opinion and deserves the fate she has brought onto herself…

Vote stupidly then get what you deserve because if she voted for the bigoted reasoning then she has no one to blame when she is also treated badly…

Simple as that and those women are the majority of that State then I do have sorrow for the minority voter of that State but let be clear if the woman on the GOP votes in favor with no abortion and doing away with parts of birth control then they brought this onto themselves…

As I wrote I have no issue limiting the length of when you can get an abortion but banning it completely or touching birth control that includes morning after pill is where I say no and why?

Simple, many women are not meant to be mother’s and forced into being a mother being misery to the child, so the woman should have the choice in certain amount of weeks to abort her unwanted child except in extreme cases of rape, incest or where the mother or child life is at risk then abortion is always on the table…

If a woman is raped she should have access to the morning after pill and before you troll me the woman that was raped is not a slut nor did she deserve what happened to her but after a period of fifteen weeks if she refuses to abort then it mean she wanted to keep the baby.

Now if the woman was held hostage and forced to carry the child and is still pregnant and want to abort then she should have that right until the moment the kid is born…

You can not force a woman to birth someone child that she was raped by if she was held hostage and most people will not want that child!

Morning after pill should be free along with all birth control in my opinion and yes as a taxpayer I prefer to spend my money on that then paying for a unwanted child that is most likely born into poverty ( again before you troll this goes for all walks of life ) and ends up in prison…

That is compromise in my opinion!

"Republican state Rep. Brent Crane, Assistant Majority Leader for Idaho’s House of Representatives, gave a jawdropping TV interview on Friday in which he openly admitted that his caucus would consider banning certain forms of birth control, including Plan B emergency contraception and intrauterine devices (IUDs) -- Of course, we’ve all known for some time that Republicans weren’t going to stop at banning abortion—even some U.S. senators have warned that they’re coming for birth control next. Later in the same interview, journalist Melissa Davlin asks Crane whether the state Republican Party has considered ways to support people who are facing unplanned pregnancies --Are they planning to boost social services? Crane responded bluntly: “As far as a caucus, have we had that discussion? No.”

It seems Republicans can't be honest about their intentions, so they have to talk out of both sides of their mouth...on one hand, they tell us that it's ridiculous to think anyone would actually pass legislation to ban contraceptives while at the same time trying to pass legislation to ban contraceptives....I guess that is what all of the talk about "domestic supply of infants" was ...as the racist former GOP congressman Steve King once said -- "we can't restore our civilization with someone else's babies" -- so yea, gotta get that domestic supply level up...

"In the draft, which was leaked to Politico, Alito references adoption as a reason for abortion to be overturned, using the phrase “domestic supply of infants” to indicate that less abortion would help increase the supply of babies that adoptive mothers are seeking -- Many have since condemned the commentary, comparing it to treating women as cattle for breeding, as well as “The Handmaid’s Tale,” stating that the terminology was also reminiscent of human trafficking."

So on the check list....we got rid of Roe V Wade...Now Republicans are on record for wanting to get rid of the Griswold decision; which is basically the 57 yr old decision that gave people the right to use birth control....so one should ask, if we are looking to increase the domestic supply of infants into our foster care/adoption system -- why do Conservatives also seek to cut funding for these services??

In fact, why do Conservatives invest so much into the life of a fetus before it becomes a child (aside from prenatal care via Medicaid, they want to cut that too) -- why not EQUALLY invest in programs that benefit that "domestic supply of infants" after they are born?? Programs like WIC, Snap, Medicaid, not abolishing free public education, improving the foster care system instead of allowing kids to fall into the cracks, be victims of abuse, etc, etc, etc?? Sounds like this is more about the desire to control a woman's vagina and the desire to punish her for not being "chaste" -- which is what most fundamentalist theocrats want....but since it is not a popular position to have, they have to lie about it....I thought lying was a sin too...

That one guy, oh my god it's the end of contraceptives. IUD's are dangerous and the Plan B pill is just another way for people to not take responsibility for their actions. Honestly I don't give a shit as long as I don't have to fund other peoples sex lives.

Sure bro..we know how you Conservatives hate having your tax dollars fund peoples sex lives

The box was opened when we went from all in a chorus to special groups being the conductor. This is not even a major issue. It is a compromise. A long time coming.
What compromise? A compromise typically doesn't consists of an opinion exclusively endorsed by one ideology over the objection of another.

That's not my responsibility either unless their issue was caused by military service.
Oh, really??

Because I have NOT noticed all of the Conservative outrage over it...will you lead the crusade??

But when it comes to a woman using contraceptives, suddenly Conservatives are all over that...

Tells me that its really about their desire to police a woman's pussy after all

Conservatives have to dismiss positions they can't defend as "oh, that guy is just saying something stupid" -- knowing that once that "stupid thing" becomes policy -- they will defend it...

It is only "stupid" until it gets passed...and then those same Conservatives that were calling it stupid will start telling you get over it...
OK.

The next time a black person does something stupid or wrong (which will be real soon), you're getting the blame for it.

How does that sound?

How is banning contraception a compromise??

And a compromise with who?? Religious fundamentalist theocrats and the rest of us??
Many states will have legalized abortions. Some will be stricter. All of this 21sr century evolving and in the evolved ghettos its worse than when we did not know any better. Abortions have been institutionalized and people act accordingly in irresponsible ways. Let's break down all of the statistics in every way possible. And then break it down more. In a general sense the first people to deal with are women with multiple abortions. There is something else going on there. You should agree with that.

Why do you have such a hard time answering questions??

You just ramble like someone who has an untreated mental illness...

Who is the compromise being made between??

WE DO NOT HAVE AN ADEQUATE SUPPLY OF WHITE BABIES FOR ADOPTION!!!!!! Why do DemoRats DENY this reality. A GREATER supply is necesssary to prevent the demoRATS race war of replacing US with non-whites!

It is an unfortunate "by product" of saving white babies that more black babies will be saved, but as your link notes, since white babies are protected by potential adoptive white heterosexual ONLY (need a law here too) paying for pregnant white women's pre-natal care, there is no longer any need for Medicaid to provide aNY prenatal services!

We will have an adequate supply of healthy white babies for adoption AND SAVE MONEY!!!!!

Can you at least be honest and say "some forms" of contraception? No one except maybe some Catholics objects to the Pill or diaphragms or rubbers.

Yeah, but she gives me a limp dick, so she should pay for the viagra if she is wanting stiff wood!

I think Americans all know which side (cough Dems cough) wants to KILL BABIES and rip their limbs off in brutal abortions. Hence Dem deflection threads like this.

Wow, interesting to see the reference to "Handmaid's Tale". Our older daughter suggested we watch it as a reflection of these times.

It's becoming more and more clear that most of these people want a theocracy. They're Holy Warriors. Jihadis. This is their moment.

And most amazingly, all being led by as unholy a man as you'll find, an opportunistic grifter who gave them power in exchange for adoration.

We do not need an increase in babies being born. We need more contraception available.
