The EPA was NEVER created to write its own rules/regulations/ and use the force of law to enforce said laws. This IS the agency enviros use to FORCE their positions, down our throats. LOL, wrong answer! Many, many states have their own formulation of gasoline that must be used, put in by their state EPA. In essence, gasoline made for Kansas, can not LEGALLY be sold in New York, Texas, or most other states. The state EPA will NOT allow it! So IF a state is hit by a disaster, they just can't call up another state flush with gasoline stocks, and ask to have the excess shipped there to alleviate the shortage. Think about that for a minute....think!

You can fill up your car in Nevada, then drive it full of Nevada fuel to California to visit Yosemite. They will NOT turn away your tourist dollars, trust me, lol. But, they get hit by an earthquake and gasoline stocks fall out of the tanks into the ground.....nope, forget about it......no gas for you Californians until the refineries can create wonderful, California blended gasoline.

The Federal and state EPAs are honestly one of the most crooked agency's in Federal/state government. They write rules they can NOT write, they pass EPA laws they can NOT pass, they were NOT elected, so we can NOT throw them out........but we can reign them in. Which is what Trump and Zeldin are trying to do if your read about them eliminating diesel standards, etc.

And to top it all off -- They have no oversight. They make up their own rules as they go along and nobody challenges anything they do.

If they want to shut down an important project, like a public works project or whatever, the EPA will enter into a secret agreement with an environMENTAList group, who will then sue them where it gets brough before a friendly Judge and the project gets shut down.

How many projects have we seen slammed down because somebody found an Eagles Nest or Bear scat or there is an endangered split-tailed, hermorphroditic bug-eating fish-fucker or some other bullshit?

An acquaintance of mine was hauling his RV out West when something went wrong with his Diesel emissions and the engine went into 'Limp Mode'. Wouldn't allow the truck to go more than 5 MPH.

Why? Because the EPA has a hard-on for diesels. So much so that -- Get this. Ford made a diesel Fiesta that got 85 MPG. It was never sold in the US because the EPA wouldn't allow it.

It's all laying in my garage, now. Worthless $4,000 of equipment that did nothing other than make my truck run like shit and then if their precious bullshit equipment failed, it would leave you stranded. In Bum Fuck Egypt. Trying to get up a 7 degree grade in the Blue Ridge Mountains. At 5 MPH.

Honestly Edge, I worked for the auto industry for over 30 years.............and I am here to tell you in all honesty, that the 4000 you projected added to the price of your truck for that crap, is NOT even close. The parts and installation on the assembly line may have cost around 4 grand, but the R and D cost to create that crap to comply with emissions.........along with warranty cost caused by it across the truck line, is probably closer to 10 grand than 4...........depending upon which of the Big 3s truck it is. The more large pickups they sell, the more sales they have to spread the R and D costs between, but also trust me when I also tell you.......that just like EVs, the cost of Diesel vehicles have some of their R and D spread across other vehicle lines in the manufacturers stable. In essence, somebody goes and buys a Ford Escape? Well, part of the cost of that vehicle goes towards R and D for EVs' along with supplementing their cost because Ford loses money on every one they sell, and large diesel trucks, price is sky high because for them to comply, costs a fortune. Oh, they make money on them, but not like you think thanks to the Government. Such is the power of the EPA!

P.S. Edge, do not know if you noticed, but many of the new small SUVs and crossovers, come with a base engine that is a 3 cylinder; and trust me, they vibrate and run like shi*! No power!

I have a hobby farm, I don't go there much anymore, boring story.

But I also have a small CUT (CompactUtilityTractor) and they all run diesels. Of course. It's a Korean Tractor. Kioti

Kubota, who makes probably the best Tractor in the World under 75 HP had to conform with our STUPID FUCKING EPA, but they didn't really have the tech because we're the only 'civilized' Country in the world with communists running loose in the goobermint. The EPA.

So Kubota didn't have their own pollution tech and used the tech supplied to it DIRECTLY BY THE EPA right out of Ann Arbor, MI on one of their most popular Tractors. The B3350.

It was a piece of shit. Every bit of the pollution garbage failed. In record time. There was a big fight, lawsuits galore, bad feelings, bad press, reputations damaged until Kubota gave every owner of that model tractor a lifetime warranty on their engines. Zero Deductible.

Any Tractor over 25HP has to have it. And it breaks. All the time. Not as bad because they don't have to have the full-tilt boogey garbage that the big-horsepower diesels like my Cummins had/has.

One of the BIG problems with the communist scum in the EPA is that they routinely mandate shit that isn't possible. There's no engineering for it.

Do the engineers eventually catch up? Sure, most of the time. But that's after several years, BILLIONS of lost dollars, hair-pulling inconvenience and badly damaged industries. Entire industries.

Just because Tricky Dick Nixon was standing on the Repub ticket does not mean he ran an honorable based POTUS administration.
