Years ago I took my telescope on a camping trip. A 30's something couple was in the park with their kids so I called them over for a look at the full moon. The dad looked in the eyepiece then he looked at me and asked "is this real". He said "you gotta be ******* kidding me".
Evidently he never used a telescope before.
