I give this movie a rating of "meh". It has a high rating on Rotten Tomatoes but it really isn't that great. It's okay, but not great.

This is "based on a true story" but obviously takes a tremendous amount of poetic license with the facts.

The actual true story is based on some of Winston Churchill's files declassified in 2015, and I have downloaded the book. I've read a zillion books on WWII.

This is an action movie about a plot to stop the German U-boats from terrorizing the North Atlantic using unconventional means. Churchill and Ian Fleming (yes, that Ian Fleming) put together a ragtag group of roughnecks to pull off the job. Much hilarity ensues.

The Dirty Dozen this isn't. You might want to wait until this is on a streaming platform rather than spend your money at the box office.

Eiza Gonzalez is VERY nice to look at.

Guerilla stuff no doubt. The Brits have colorful names for units but it doesn't necessarily translate to entertaining books or film.
