I've got news for Mr. Johnston...that's the way the game was played in New York City in those days! You either bought from those companies controlled by the mob...or you had union problems that would shut down your construction site. Getting your concrete from those companies doesn't mean you have "mob ties"...it means you understood the options available and paid more so you could build the project you needed to build!
