Here's a few things (facts) that says Trump isn't nothing but a north eastern liberal.
Return the power back to the people? That's a good campaign catch phrase. But when Trump was president, lets see how he approached that.
FISA (702) Spying on Americans without a warrant. <<<Trump reauthorized that.
The Patriot Act. Yeah, he reauthorized that too.
The NDAA. That gives the president the authority to wage war without a formal declaration of war (That's unconstitutional).. Yeah, he reauthorized that too.
$8 trillion spent in just 4 years. Only vetoed one spending bill the entire time.
Increased the debt ceiling twice.
Suspended it for 2 years, so we couldn't tell how much him and Pelosi were borrowing and spending.
All that helped to created the inflation hikes we seen in 2021 and 2022. Not blaming all that on Trump, because Biden is a big spending north eastern liberal too.
Trump assaulted our 2A with his bump stock ban. Now I realize that hardly anyone owned a bump stock. Or knew what it was for that matter. But now, they'll never know because Trump banned them. Put it on the same list as Nuclear weapons. (Talk about an overkill, huh?)
Let's see where was I? Oh yeah.
Trumps "Platinum Plan." Giving $500 BILLION to black communities for the simple fact that they were black communities. That's kind of racist. But even more so, it's socialistic.
The Trump tax cuts were minimal. Less than 5% for most of us. But the kicker was the amount of tax deductions he eliminated. That it itself was almost revenue neutral to the government CAFR. (total income)
Couple all that with the USD value reduction, and the wage increases that took place because of all the inflation from the borrowing and spending, then the governments income increased. (meaning we ended up with less. I paid $600 more than I did before the tax cuts took place because one of the small business tax cuts I was no longer allowed to take. (something to do with not being able to claim mileage on something)
His trade deal with China. That's a good one, boy. This may have been attempted in good faith. None the less, the trade deficit with China grew (until Covid hit) and was never going to be reduced because the trade deal had no teeth in it. It was basically a rewrite of the deal they had prior. But with Trumps name on it. (That's the part Trump liked. His name on it.)
The same thing with the old NAFTA deal. Trumps version was just a rewrite.
Then there's the oil deal Trump made in April of 2020, that got US oil producers, Saudi Arabia and Mexico to REDUCE their oil production. 7 months before the Biden/Trump election. 2 months later here in the US, oil field lay offs were in full swing. They'd almost stopped importing because we had so much in storage. Like months worth of storage.
By the time the supplies were running low enough to start importing again, Covid was in full bloom, the demand was low. And there was no need in oil companies drilling more holes. They weren't using the drilling permits they'd gotten under Trump. The new Biden administration handed out over 1500 drilling permits that the oil companies sat on too.
BTW, if you wanna get into the discussion of Biden "ending fossil fuels, shutting down oil leases and stopping the XL pipeline, I will literally eat your lunch with facts that prove Biden was PRO oil, not anti oil. He just played the part. And did it well. Did you happen to notice the record profits US oil companies made at the same time of record low oil production? Ole Biden, he's a sneaking one, that guy is. He even fooled the democrats.
