The Legacy of Evangelicals: Their Own Flawed Doctrine Helped a Right Wing Extremist Demagogue Win the White House Again

‘It's more than just ironic that the branch of American Christianity which touts itself as the "true church," criticizes mainline Protestants as "liberal," declares the Catholic church apostate by labelling the veneration of the saints as idolatry and claiming they "worship Mary," has more of its leaders and members than any other branch of Christianity bowing the knee to an unrepentant adulterous, womanizing, sexually assaulting, pathologically lying business fraud and cheat who openly denies their own version of Christian faith for himself, supporting him for President of the United States.
[…]
They've come up with some really convoluted, and outlandish excuses to try and disassociate themselves from his open moral bankruptcy that only make their heretical twisting of the Christian gospel, and the text of the Bible they claim is "inerrant and infallible," even worse. I've heard everything from, "I'm not voting for a pastor in chief, I'm voting for a commander in chief," to "Well, King David wasn't perfect either, and God still used him." These are fallacies that can't be reconciled to any legitimate, historical interpretation of the Bible, or practice of the Christian gospel. They look Christian, but there is no theological or doctrinal foundation to distinguish this intrusion of a licentious, ungodly intruder who perverts the word of God [see the book of Jude, verse 4].’

Trump committed treasonous, historic crimes: attempting to overturn a presidential election, disenfranchise millions of Americans, and disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.

For more than two hours Trump did nothing to stop the violent, lawless attack of the Capitol Building – an attack he himself incited.

There’s Trump’s disgraceful, reprehensible attempt to exploit fallen American soldiers for crass political theater.

We have Trump announcing his intent to subject his political opponents to criminal prosecution for the ‘crime’ of being his political opponents – which is fundamentally fascist.

For these and scores of other reasons, Trump is unfit to be president – beyond partisan politics, policy positions, and the issues.

Evangelicals share much of the blame for putting Trump – a racist, bigot, misogynist, sexual offender, criminal, and convicted felon – back in the WH.
Therapy sessions and gummies will help you get through the next four years Clayton. Think about it! FOUR LOOOOOOOOONG YEARS!!

Trump committed treasonous, historic crimes:
Blow it out your ass, maggot.

attempting to overturn a presidential election,
Yep, and you buttholes couldn't even stop a bunch of flag waving, stroller pushing, selfie taking people! You deserved to be overturned.

disenfranchise millions of Americans,
Just the 74 million of you creeps.

and disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.
Joe Biden deserved no peace.

For more than two hours Trump did nothing to stop the violent, lawless attack of the Capitol Building – an attack he himself incited.
You should have run down there and thrown yourself at the crowd yelling STOP! STOP!

There’s Trump’s disgraceful, reprehensible attempt to exploit fallen American soldiers for crass political theater.
Sweet! He did that too?!

We have Trump announcing his intent to subject his political opponents to criminal prosecution for the ‘crime’ of being his political opponents – which is fundamentally fascist.
Oh goodie. Prosecuting criminals for being criminals! I can't wait to hear the prison bars slamming shut. :mm:

For these and scores of other reasons, Trump is unfit to be president
Tough turds. He will just have to muddle along. Trump ain't never going away.

a racist, bigot, misogynist, sexual offender, criminal, and convicted felon – back in the WH.
I'm delighted. Sucks to be you.

When Jesus Christ is on the ballot, believe me, I will vote for him.

Until then, I'm left with flawed people AND THE KIND OF PEOPLE who want to be president, almost all narcissists.

But man oh man, some of you love the Puritan routine so much that you just can't stop....

Yet you go with anchovies and genitals? (eye roll) Best words? What's sad is you don't seem to understand how pathetic you are when it comes to using words.
I don't care how you feel about it and exactly what are you gonna do about it? That's what I wanna know.

Doocy said on Fox late Monday evening that Biden called his phone shortly after their exchange to apologize for his remark.

Biden called and apologized--- the minute his handler found out the hot mic caught his remark and might be aired on Fox that night.

You are very bitter

And irrational

TDS can really warp the mind

hehehe
It doesn't take much to trigger you. I sure hope I didn't traumatize you.
Why is it that the board's "less gifted" posters always seem to think they have the ability to trigger others, Arlette? I've never quite understood the phenomena. :)

Just admit that you had no plan on how to deal with me, Mister Man with a Plan. 😂

Hell, Libs are OK with democrats who are outright seditionists and traitors, and worse.
For years here, I listened to them rip on the Confederacy as traitors for wanting to split off from the North and go their own way because they did not agree with their policies, and the J6 protesters being insurrectionists for protesting an obviously flawed election wanting some accountability---
now these very same people support democrats trying to block Trump's rightful constitutional certification and install Harris instead.
Yet they never see the glaring hypocrisy. Worse, even when you prove them wrong, they just do not care.

It is all part of the mental illness and cognitive failing that drives them to come here trying to get under people's skin whom they cannot affect otherwise because THEY did not get their way in the election. Just like a 4 year old who didn't get a cookie.

It is all rooted in an inferiority complex through lack of real success in life that drives them to bug others just to get noticed to give themselves a sense of place and purpose in life they otherwise don't have at all after many years of personal failure.

Instead of crying about not having any evangelical votes you could go after them, but you would rather lose every election till the end of time.

So be it.

Nobody likes a whiner.
