It's like fruitcake lite. I remember eating it as a child on a trip to the New Schwanstein Castle. It had some orange and green stuff in it that I picked out. That left me with dough and some raisins. It wasn't bad after I cleaned it up.
It was the little bits of green and orange stuff. I like food that right off the bat I know what it is. Like pizza or fish sticks.Lol, the dough is the best part. I'm the same with apple and peach cobbler, I prefer to set the fruit aside and just eat the crust. Just not a fan of cooked peaches and apples. The only cobbler I like the fruit of is like blackberry cobbler.
Stollen (German: [ˈʃtɔlən] ⓘ or German: [ʃtɔln] ⓘ) is a fruit bread of nuts, spices, and dried or candied fruit, coated with powdered sugar or icing sugar and often containing marzipan. It is a traditional German Christmas bread. During the Christmas season the cake-like loaves are called Weihnachtsstollen (after "Weihnachten", the German word for Christmas) or Christstollen (after Christ). A ring-shaped Stollen made in a Bundt cake or Gugelhupf pan is called a Stollenkranz (Stollen wreath). It's fruitcake
