In the universe, there is perfect balance, justice, and equilibrium.
If there is temporary disequilibrium, then there are uncomfortable, even volcanic consequences until equilibrium is restored. Examples:
1. The atom bomb is one example. Unstable elements, catastrophic explosion. Then equilibrium is restored.
2. The prosperity and societal morality of the 1940s and early 1950's was forged by suffering of the Great Depression and WW2.
3. The horrors of the Nazi and Communists regimes were countered by the unprecedented numbers of Catholic priests and nuns and Churches.
4. Muscular imbalance in the body. If you use you bench press, but ignore your back, you will invariably experience upper body pain. You have to balance with pull-ups to feel good again.
5. Behavior of kids. The first child is the by-the-book organized bookish firstborn. So the second has to be an athletic or social animal. Sometimes a wild child. The result is an overall balance.
6. Mating. Opposites attract. Eye-color opposites, personality opposites, physical size opposites. All producing equilibrium. If there isn't some opposite, there will be problems.
7. Magnetic fields.
8 Swinging political pendulum
9. Climate patterns. First cold cycle, then heat cycle.
From a purely logical standpoint from physics, it only makes sense there is an afterlife because of equilibrium.. In the physical world, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. So why would life circumstances and behavior be different? Sure, the actions of people result in some earthly consequences, but rarely in equal measure. Take the young man who was born into fabulous wealth, spent lavishly, was promiscuous, and treated others poorly. Let's say he died a painless death at a young age. Where is the justice there? According to physical laws, it has to be balanced elsewhere, and that can only be in the afterlife. Likewise, I knew a young woman who was lovely and compassionate, spent her life helping others, and didn't have much money. In her 50s, she was struck with cancer, then right after her recovery was diagnosed with ALS, one of the most agonizing slow deaths of all. Where is the equlibrium for her? Every imbalance has to be resolved. Only one place it can be: in the afterlife.
This is one of many pieces of evidence of Heaven and Hell, to me. Dispute this argument if you can.
