Ah Heck, why make you look it up?

If you like a post somebody puts on the board you can give them rep points for that post. Use the little scale in the upper right of the post, you can give positive or negative points with a little note as to what reason you have. You can check your rep on your User CP to see what rep you have gotten recently and why.

Your points are the accumulation of what everybody has given you over time. The Power is the amount of points that you give each time you rep somebody at this time. The Power is rewarded in a combination of the amount of posts and how many points you have been given.

Ok let me see if I have this right. Someone gives you points, the more points you get the more power you have thus allowing you to reciprocate. If you don’t get any points you can’t give any points because you don’t have any power. Power is what allows you to give. The more points you have the more points you can give because points build power?

Yup, also the amount of posts you have can raise your power level. There are therefore two ways to gain power, points given you and the number of times you post.
