It's a good thing. If you like someones post you can hit the little scale at the top of their post. A little screen pops up and you can give good or bad rep and leave a comment. Right now you have 1 rep power, but the more you rep and get rep and post, the more power you get

You can go to your UserCP and it will show you the last 5 reps and comments you got.

Good. It measures how popular you are with the other members.
First scroll down to the bottom of the screen and make sure your style is set
to Us Message Board vBulletin 3 style. This will allow you to see info
on your rep points etc. now if you look at the top right side of any post you
will see how many rep points that person has and how much rep power they
have. rep points are based on how many posts yopu have, how long you've
been a member, and how many points other people have given you.
Rep power is determined by how many rep points you have and determines
how many points you give people. to give rep points to a post, look at the
top right of their post and click on this icon

then choose i agree or i don't and type a message to that person.
