Not all that crazy. Israel was created in 1948 - as an artificial nation, using religion to masquerade themselves as something they are not. 100% agree with you on this. A lot of Israelis are from Eastern Europe - they have nothing to do with the Hebrews or Semites.

I would even venture to say that the biblical Jews who were dispersed in Europe were few in number, their population having been decimated in the Jewish-Roman Wars.

I bet it's a very small minority. I believe many have forgotten God. After all the OT is the story of of a people that cycled between remembering and forgetting God and the predictable consequences of doing so.

Once the 2nd temple was destroyed, Judaism evolved into Rabbinic Judaism and it remains such to this day.

I can't argue with your theology but I think the cause and effect are reversed. When Israel suffered it was attributed to her turning from God. It was always hindsight.
