There is often 'violence' when law enforcement is called in. Many fights occur when police respond to incidents of spouse abuse, complaints of aggression, reports of gang activity, rowdy bars, etc. Public servants should always be civil and lawful themselves. "Should" doesn't mean that they always are. When excess can be established, then that part of law should be enforce, too. The fact that people illegally entered into a country are detected and removed should not be remarkable, any more than that a speeding car be stopped. What most of the "protesters" we see and hear do not speak of the excesses of ICE, but the fact they operate. This we fail to understand.

Look at the title of my OP. It's not WHAT they're doing (allegedly enforcing the law), it's HOW they're doing it (trampling all over the rights of American citizens first and foremost, as well as the rights of those they're targeting).

The people aren't protesting them enforcing the law, they protesting the brutality, cruelty and unconstitutionality that's involved.

God forbid anyone ever wrongly targets you or anyone you care about.
