The IRS reminds Americans earning over $600 on PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App transactions to report their earnings

but you just claimed to be a fan of expanding the largest drivers of debt…so…not sure how you can claim it.

you make zero sense…

Again, I have argued to pay for it. Every other 1st world nation can do it. (and even places like Cuba) Of course they do not have their military spread all around the globe.

they don’t have our medicare/medicaid system.

cuba is a socialist nation…but actually they don’t pay for it…have you seen how poor that country is? you want their economy?

if you want to “pay for it” we need to reform the current system…which you don’t want to do, you were in favor of simply expanding it and making it cost more

you are simply a kick tbe can down the road dembot cultist…that goes along with whatever their cult tells them

No, they have their own.

If someone wants to make it better, great. The sick can't wait around until it happens.

Trump is the one that argued debt doesn't matter.

It is only taxed if it is income. If I send my kid a grand via Venmo it will not be taxed. There is no new tax for using Apps, they just removed the ability to hid your income by using an App

Yeah, tax the rich! Fuck those Uber drivers, babysitters, dog walkers, and folks selling their stuff on eBay and Craigslist to be able to afford Biden's price hikes, right?

No, they have their own.

Of course they pay for it.

1) they have completely different systems
2) no cuba doesn’t…theg have debt, actually part of our debt is bailing them out with aid
3) thanks for proving my point again…you don’t care about the debt or have any meaningfully to add to this serious topic
4) so did alexander hamilton.

1) they have completely different systems

So change ours.

I care less how we do it.

2) no cuba doesn’t…theg have debt, actually part of our debt is bailing them out with aid

LOL.......

You as usual have no point.

you can’t claim to care about the debt and then claim you don’t care how we fix the problem

that’s my point.

yeah...people make dumb chooses all the time in all their life choices....what's your point? You think Govt can wave a magic wand for you and make it so you don't? Really?
With Social Security the only dumb choice you can make is to start drawing early when you don't have to

it’s taxed as income for them and also a new tax for using the apps. the small business is being double taxed.
Who told you that? Smack em in the head next time you see em

Actually, you get the same money, it is just spread out over a longer time period

No. You don't, If you take benefits beginning when you are first eligible (62)you get them at a reduced rate. Approx 10% less per year. And they stay at that rate (not counting COLA) for life. As opposed to getting "full benefits" at 66

No the current one...the market has recovered since 2008. They are responsible for the issues today.

I have no idea when you started your 401K so not sure, but they are certainly responsble for the issues people are having today with the market. You are still getting more return then from SS.

Look, it's clear you don't want to have an honest discussion about this, first you claimed people would be dumb to risk their retirements on the market, then you claimed, you had one, then you claimed your 401K is in a mess because of the market, I agreed, but then you started talking about 2008...

The reality is, anyone depending on SS alone right now to retire, won't be able to make it, SS as it currrently is, isn't working well, and needs reform. The GOP has offered real reform, reform that works, in one of those "democratic socialist" country you all usually praise....but you continue to ignore it and deflect....you aren't here for any real discuss...you are a cultist that puts your cult before country
Dude. Get a grip. I have money in a 401 and refuse to touch it BECAUSE I would be pulling money out at a reduced rate. It took a hit and likely will come back but not for a while. If I pull money out now...I "lock in those losses" and those losses will NOT be made up.

The same thing happened to people retiring around 2008...and other stock market crashes.

And they like me were damn happy that they had Social Security as WELL as their 401...because without it they HAD to lock in those losses.

Ya fucking dope

A gift under $10,000 is not taxable
Someone paying your expenses can be considered income.

Running a shadow business using Venmo, PayPal or Bitcoin is tax dodging

If you ever actually worked, you would know this
I've earned thousands and was paid in cash to avoid taxes. Thank you for making up the difference for me.

Small business has to pay its taxes too

Just like the rest of us
Christ, you'd think these people never worked a job in their life. Maybe none of them are independent business owner's but as long as I can remember when I receive any monies from one of the companies I represent that is over $600 you have to include in your gross income. The only thing new is the gov is making apps report and probably send a 1099 if over $600. They should all pay taxes.

Democrats hate poor people.

If your daughter earns six hundred or more through these payment options then she must report the income is what they be saying.
Wrong.
Gifts from parents under $10,000 a year do NOT have to be declared to the IRS.
Money for tuition, room and board, etc., do not have to get declared at all.
