I was watching some older political interviews and as far as I am aware, at least that I can recall; neither have endorsed either Biden, Trump or Harris, even when some such as the Cheneys were basically demanding it this cycle.
The Bushes stayed out of it, again, as far as I know, for any number of reasons be it principle or the attitude "my endorsement isn't going to change anything" or another prospect. Perhaps they really did NOT want Harris to win the W.H, I don't know.
Their dad George H W Bush was a good leader, a former WWII pilot if I recall. He and Reagan were a strong battery and their Primary debate was both civilized and perhaps the most substantive I've seen of all the limited older debates I've rewatched.
Both George and Jeb served their country in politics. There is potentially the chance they have been behind the scenes funding Neo-Con activities though of course I don't know for sure but they have not found a need for a spotlight, maintaining their Texas roots of gentlemanly conduct.
Compared to the reputation of so many other Neo-Cons and former politicians, these two at least kept their principle by remaining out of it at the extent of not officially endorsing. GWB in particular realizes how difficult the job is so he surely respects the will of the people.
How many other Neo Cons, Never Trumpers etc. have denigrated their own reputation and legacy by being focused on their narrow issues alone rather than the shifting GOP electoral base, now much broader than ever?
