The irony of all that we have experienced with the Trump phenomenon is that George W Bush and Jeb Bush actually look better today than before

I was watching some older political interviews and as far as I am aware, at least that I can recall; neither have endorsed either Biden, Trump or Harris, even when some such as the Cheneys were basically demanding it this cycle.

The Bushes stayed out of it, again, as far as I know, for any number of reasons be it principle or the attitude "my endorsement isn't going to change anything" or another prospect. Perhaps they really did NOT want Harris to win the W.H, I don't know.

Their dad George H W Bush was a good leader, a former WWII pilot if I recall. He and Reagan were a strong battery and their Primary debate was both civilized and perhaps the most substantive I've seen of all the limited older debates I've rewatched.

Both George and Jeb served their country in politics. There is potentially the chance they have been behind the scenes funding Neo-Con activities though of course I don't know for sure but they have not found a need for a spotlight, maintaining their Texas roots of gentlemanly conduct.

Compared to the reputation of so many other Neo-Cons and former politicians, these two at least kept their principle by remaining out of it at the extent of not officially endorsing. GWB in particular realizes how difficult the job is so he surely respects the will of the people.

How many other Neo Cons, Never Trumpers etc. have denigrated their own reputation and legacy by being focused on their narrow issues alone rather than the shifting GOP electoral base, now much broader than ever?

The Bushes never looked good. GW kind of had a look for a while after 9/11 and talked all patriotic for a while.
In 2016, the GOP were lining up Jeb Bush to be their next candidate. Had Trump not come along, this is the kind of loser that the GOP would have put up against Hillary, and would have lost to her.

Trump saved up from Hillary.
Trump saved up from Jeb.
Now Trump is saving us from Kamala Harris.

Remember when the saving and loans bought all the bad loans from the banks and the got bailed out by Daddy Bush.

Bush even bailed his son's savings and loan for over a billion dollars. The 1990's, fun times.

Remember when Bush Jr bailed out the banks for making bad loans. More good times.

How come Bush dad and Bush son bailed out institutions that made bad loans on property

An easy Trillion dollars added to our debt

Bush, and Bush, look very bad compared to Kamala.

Trump shines like gold

How many? Zero. Nobody on the right will hold anyone responsible for what they believed yesterday.

You’re going to catch it from the right wing loons on this thread--everyone of them voted for W and would have voted for Jeb if he had been nominated. If you’re expecting integrity from a conservative...don’t hold your breath. I wouldn’t count on good hygiene either. LOL

As for the post you made, sum it up like this:

The bitter, seething, idiotic, unhinged republican represnted on this board settled for Reagan, Bush Sr, Dole, McCain, Romney etc... They got what they wanted in Trump who tells them that it is fine to want to murder people who shoplift.

Becasuse that is where they are...on the whacko fringe. Trump validates it. So he’s their God.

Voted for the senior Bush once, in 1988, never another Bush ever again.

Trump is looking better and better.

And our Canuck OP said Kamalalala was gonna win.

Lol.

You really need to stop dx American politics. You were saying right up to the election that Trump would not win. You're not here. You don't know.

I didnt say I loved him, I am.saying that they didn't openly get involved in public endorsements and making themselves look worse. You ever see the movie "Vice"? It is a dark biographical movie about Cheney in the W.H, it really.paints him as the bad guy behind the scenes at the W.H who exploited 9/11 for his own power gra . My point is that the Bushes didn't become rabid, openly hostile Never Trumpers while so many others did. This is why if you hear the criticsms of the Dems,.the hate for Trump that people foolosly shared, their names aren't raised. a new generation doesn't see them in the spotlight doing Town Halls etc

I said before she was chosen that it would be her as the nominee, there wouldn't be an open convention. I also said that she would do worse than Biden in the swing states and would only be really popular in NY.and Cali. My.initial suggestion was that for the E.C,.she was a worse candidate.than Biden, but she had deep pocket donors. I also posted on here details of pollsters who said that Trump was well ahead so the MSM polls, even on Fox saying it was close didn't make sense to me. However, all of this lead me to suspect that somehow, as an Establishment candidate that she might squeak it out in key states. It doesnt take much, just a state or two. Last minute rule changes in Michigan or Penn for instance (in fact I think they tried but courts ordered that no post dated mail in ballots would be allowed to be counted). I've been one of the most ardent defenders of Trumps policies and his objective of confronting China. Via email, on twitter.(years ago) he and his adminstration heard from me and I defended his policies against the haters. Hell I even wrote a book report of him in school,.I k ow DJT before.the Apprenticd. I've taken heat in Canada when ever.I shared this opinion that he was needed for a strong U.S and hence a strong Western civilization, I've compared him to Reagan. It was Trump in 2016 who made me and most of the world aware of the U.S border problem. An issue I knew couldn't be good for your fiscal health, made worse.over the last four years. So don't confuse my statement of her winning with my hope, or even what I felt was accurate based on many pollsters who werent getting coverage. Trump himself, having experienced the uncanny last minute state law changes in 2020 said in an interview a couple of days before the election "it is possible that we lose". He didnt want to believe so, his internal polls didn't suggest this outcome, however, he was shellshocked from the last minute vote changes in 2020, unlike anything in U.S election history, so he thought it somehow could be possible. The GOP successfully overwhelmed the ballot box with supporters and made the margins wide as he expanded the GOP voter base. Meanwhile, still right now, almost two weeks later, miraculously they are still counting votes in some Dem states. Do you understand better now? Imagine these states counting votes two.weeks later were tied states that were deciding this election?

I don’t care if they aren’t never Trumpers. Both W and Cheney are war criminals. They should be in solitary at Supermax.

I have no idea how it is that Bush sleeps at night. I would not be able to lie in bed thinking about all the wives, mothers and kids that will never see their loved one again because of lies I had pushed.

He’s a psychopath. So, he sleeps like a baby.

I suspect much of our political class are exactly like him. Look at the enormous support they give the genocide and the proxy war. We’re lead by a bunch of serial killers.

As I've noted before, a bunch of Ted Bundy's without the balls to do the killing themselves.

These are all things that you say when you are NOT HERE, ON THE GROUND. Conjecturing this, conjecturing that, like a puzzle. I had been saying for weeks, from here in MI, that the momentum on the ground was all Trump, like nothing I'd seen before--not even Obama. Family on the other side of the state said the same thing.

This is why I do not prognosticate, or even weigh in, on the politics of other nations. I don't KNOW. I'm not THERE.
