Remember the refugee athletes at the Rio Olympics? It was perhaps overshadowed by the disastrous management of those games, but their presence was significant and historic nonetheless. School sports is playing an important role in the lives of refugees already here in the US as it long has been for immigrants assimilating to American life and culture for generation upon generation.
