We had Democrats and Republicans back then. Now it is Progressive Socialists and RINOS to Moderate Republicans with some Conservatives. The nation peaked around the Moon landings. Nuclear families were a much higher percentage with one person able to provide for all. Our taxes were much lower. The infection of equity was just starting running concurrently with equality. It ramped up with quotas and massive government social programs as we started the printing presses running 24 hours a day. State, local and city taxes have ballooned into incredible numbers in most states. We went from bag lunches for the school kids to mandatory breakfast and lunches in schools for nothing for most. The war on poverty is over 55 years now. And we have the same amount on poverty living much better on the freebies and still have people going to be hungry by the commercials on TV. There is more and more. But I always believed that equality was going to be opportunity for all. Instead we injected it with equity and it has grown to monstrous proportions and is finally coming out into reality. We have massive incompetence and ineptitude with it by qualified people in important jobs and positions. We still have great people, but the percentage has dropped. But to you it is racial perspective.
