and the arab siege on Jerusalem and the hijacking of the convoys? You can go back months and years of arab attacks on jews in the holy land. 1918, 1920's, 1939.....can take it back a century of attacks on jews. You want to take it back to 8th C CE?
There were no recorded major incidents of violence in that area until the Zionist migration at the turn of the last century. And only one poster here, I forgot who that was, has provided any evidence of a major incident between Jews and Arabs and that was around 1833. But nothing after that until Hebron. That's almost a 100 years of living peacefully with other.
Once the Zionists started showing up treating Arabs like garbage, all hell broke loose. When you start treating people like shit right off the bat, what do you expect is going to happen? You started it; you had it coming!
And if you think that's bullshit, then explain the following comment from someone who was living there at that time...
... the settlers must under no circumstances arouse the wrath of the natives ... 'Yet what do our brethren do in Palestine? Just the very opposite! Serfs they were in the lands of the Diaspora and suddenly they find themselves in unrestricted freedom and this change has awakened in them an inclination to despotism. They treat the Arabs with hostility and cruelty, deprive them of their rights, offend them without cause and even boast of these deeds; and nobody among us opposes this despicable and dangerous inclination...
- Ahad Ha'am (famous Zionist humanist)
Care to explain the part in bold?
Or are you just going to ignore it, like everyone else has (including
RoccoR).
