The worst pictures looks better than Detroit today.

One thing I see in those pictures is people who still have hope, people who have dignity, something that is woefully lacking in today's poor America.

In the Great Depression of the 30s and early 40s that much money was unthinkable. Food came first.

Always struck me how well folks dressed back then despite the poverty...


Ladies too but sadly that was not he norm during the Depression, it was only the exception.

OBVIOUSLY those two girls are faked... they didn't sculpt their eyebrows during the depression.
