The worst pictures looks better than Detroit today.

One thing I see in those pictures is people who still have hope, people who have dignity, something that is woefully lacking in today's poor America.
People had more opportunity back then; And there was more hope.

My Goodness.

There was more upward mobility available to the general populace.

Yes. Take that for what you will. :dunno:

I don't know from where they are.... but somewhere in Europe possibly.

That's mainly where immigrants came from back then. :)

So you know, like, most whites, and blacks, and Latin, and Indian, and Asian people..

They kinda made it. :dunno:

I stand by my assertion! :funnyface:

And the reason I put whites and blacks first, is because that's what's first in America.

Those who have been there. Not foreigners.

We can welcome foreigners, but we gotta take care of us, too.

Just to add....

The migrants posted in this thread came to America LEGALLY, not like the savages of today.

They brought with them a totally different mentality than today illegals.

That's important to understand.
