Would that be so bad? Gaza without so many Palestinians? The tiny enclave is so overcrowded and with poor resources and committed to endless war with Israel, so that the people have no future other than poverty and war and death: almost any place on Earth would offer them a better life.

One of the first things Israel will have to do once Hamas, Islamic Jihad, et al have been crushed is to begin to offer assistance to Palestinians who want to pursue a better life elsewhere, and that will probably be 40% of more of the Gazans, and as this begins to happen, there is no reason why Israelis should not begin to move in.
