You know, I've not heard nary a person complain about higher gas prices in my AO....Then again it's a solid red AO with people who have some common sense about them.

I live in bright BLUE WA and I wish the democrats didn't have a strangle hold on the populace here. The globalist state gov't cares more for illegals than the constituency. They also have not met a tax that they don't love---case in point fuel/carbon taxes. The population here pays about $1/gal more than the national average due to these taxes. This a.m. I saw $4.39-regular/$6.09-diesel and that is the cheapest I've seen for forty miles around. Fifty miles to the east, ID, these numbers are about $1 cheaper.

Because global production was sharply reduced during COVID because of a massive drop in demand.

When demand rebounded, production could not increase as quickly.

That and the Ukraine war.
