The Forgotten Part Of Normandy

The fact is that the only document that Americans have agreed to be governed by is the Constitution. It is written in English….no ‘interpretation’ is required.

Wherein we find this:
Under the second clause of Article II of the Constitution, the legislatures of the several states have exclusive power to direct the manner in which the electors of President and Vice President shall be appointed.
Such appointment may be made by the legislatures directly, or by popular vote in districts, or by general ticket, as may be provided by the legislature.”

A number of Democrat states allowed

it state governors,

election officials,

attorneys general,

state courts,

state constitutions,

sec’ys of state,

election commission......

to alter “time, place, and manner” of elections.

None of the above is constitutional.
Of course. Was the election stolen?

And then of course you have all the laws we have based on the constitution and approved by the Supreme Court. If you don't believe that, you are anti American garbage thinker....

At any rate they all hated the Germans.

Oh my goodness, do you just make up everything as you go along?

They indeed did not "all hate the Germans". The 7th SS Volunteer Mountain Division Prinz Eugen, the 13th SS Waffen Mountain Division Handschar, the 21st SS Mountain Division Skanderbeg, and the 23rd SS Mountain Division Kama were almost entirely manned by people from Yugoslavia. Primarily Croatian units, the 21st Division was Albanian.

So obviously they did not all hate the Germans. Oh, and that is not all, as you also had three divisions (369th, 373rd, and the 392nd) serving directly with the Wehrmacht. As well as others.

All told, well over 100,000 Croats and Albanians volunteered to serve with Germany.

So obviously what you said was wrong.

The SS was one of the most diverse groups out there. Walloons, French, British, Dutch, Norwegians, Latvians, Croats, Serbs, Danes, all had members in the SS.

The Belgian contingent was particularly noteworthy making up an Assault Brigade within the 5th SS (Wiking) Division.

And in 1945 they all wanted to surrender to the allies rather than fight for Germany or surrender to the Russians. But thanks for the irrelevant details....

This is an excellent discussion.

The Allies already had an invasion in Italy. Driving north was the short route to Germany.

Why didn't they put all the resources into that?

Why invade farther west that allowed the Russians more territory by their push west?

Why did the WAllies halt the drive to Berlin to allow the USSR to add Bulgaria to their portfolio?
