Richard, Donald Trump is living in La La Land while American families are living in the painful reality of his economy.

He is trying to gaslight Americans into thinking the economy is doing great. But the facts speak for themselves and show that Trump and the Republicans’ failed policies have pushed American families to the brink of financial crisis:

  • More than half of employed Americans are worried about losing their jobs.
  • The cost of everyday essentials — from the cup of coffee you drink in the morning to the produce you cook for dinner — is skyrocketing thanks to Trump’s chaotic tariffs, which now encompass almost half of all imports. And Americans are feeling it: 62% of them say everyday items have gotten more expensive in the last month.
  • Families are paying an average of $100 extra for electricity this year.
  • Google searches for ā€œhelp with mortgageā€ have shot up to the highest level since the 2008 housing crisis.
  • Cars are getting repossessed at a rapid rate as more and more Americans default on their car loans.
  • Americans are getting notices in their mailboxes detailing how their healthcare premiums are about to double, triple, or even quadruple because Republicans refused to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies for millions of people.
Meanwhile, the wealthy have never been doing better:

  • Billionaires got $2 trillion richer last year — accumulating wealth at a staggering three times faster than the year before.
  • The top 10% of Americans now account for more than half of consumer spending — the highest share since we started recording this data.
  • More and more people are buying first-class and business tickets, while ticket sales for the main cabin are going down. For the first time ever, Delta expects more of their revenue to come from first- and business-class tickets than from main cabin tickets.
This is why so many Americans feel like our economy is rigged, and they’re not wrong. The rich are getting even richer while everyone else struggles to get by. Even the Wall Street Journal admitted that the only Americans feeling great about this economy are investors who own a lot of stock — and that it’s not feeling so great for everybody else.

And how are Trump and the Republicans responding? By shoveling even more wealth into the pockets of billionaires and wealthy corporations that bankrolled Trump’s campaign, and ripping away lifelines like Medicaid, SNAP benefits, and Affordable Care Act subsidies from people. Then Trump gets on Fox News to gaslight Americans into thinking the economy is doing just fine

Trump want elected to deal with the Economy. He was elected on SOCIAL ISSUES, which he’s doing very well on.

A whole lot of us don’t care about the price of bread… we want the illegals on, the boys out of girls bathrooms, the Social Safety Net disbanded, and merit-based hiring as the rule.
