There was a real effort from Trumps team to uncover that story, but it turns out that there really never was a story there, or at least not one that could lead to prosecutions. The "Epstein list" is just a long list of people who were around him at some point. The VAST majority of those people committed no crimes and they also knew nothing about Epsteins crimes. Releasing their names would lead to lawsuits from very powerful people who would get BILLIONS from defamation lawsuits.
