Bottom line retards, if you want to eliminate the electoral college make an amendment and get 37 States to agree. Other wise quit whining about our system.
Get 37 states to agree to disenfranchise themselves and agree to be dictated to by New York and California.
That's showing such a lack of understanding about how other political systems work.
I'm guessing you're just picking and choosing any argument you think might work, rather than actually looking at reality.
With the Electoral College only 12 states really get to vote.
If a Republican votes in California, their vote doesn't matter.
With Proportional Representation their vote would matter. Their vote could decide how many seats a political party gets.
Not only that it would increase the number of political parties into the US system which would add a lot more oversight and give a lot more choice to the people when voting.
In Germany they have traditional right and traditional left main parties with further left and further right and a centerist party in there too, so people can actually choose.
If a farmer in Wyoming wants to vote for a party that will protect his interests, he can probably find enough farmers out there to get representation in Washington. As it is, he has to choose between one of two parties who don't really give much of a **** about him.
